Dewitt County Finance Committee met July 20.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

MEMBERS PRESENT: Camille Redman - Chair, David Newberg, Terry Ferguson, Melonie Tilly and Lance Reece, Also, present Dee Rentmeister, County Administrator,

MEMBERS ABSENT: None

SUMMARY OF DISCUSSION:

• Motion by Reece, 2nd by Newberg to approve last month's minutes. Voice vote, motion carried, 

• Motion by Ferguson, 2nd by Tilley to approve the claims. Voice vote, motion carried.

• Motion by Tilley, 211 by Reece to recommend to the full board to approve the Resolution for Salary & Expenses of the County Engineer. Voice vote, motion carried.

• Motion by Newberg, 2nd by Ferguson to recommend to the full board to approve and certify the salary increase for the full time Public Defender position at 90% of the State's Attorney's Salary pursuant to 25 ILCS 120/6.6 and 55 ILCS 5/3-4007 retroactive to July 1, 2020. Voice vote, motion carried.

• Motion by Reece, 2nd by Newberg to recommend to the full board to designate November 3, 2020 (Election Day) as a Holiday. This holiday has been added to the Supreme Court Holiday schedule due to PA 101-0642 (10ILCS 5/2B-10) designating November 3, 2020 as a State holiday and requiring all government offices to be closed. Voice vote, motion carried..

• Continued discussion on offering IMRF Early Retirement Incentive. No action taken.

• Motion by Ferguson, 2nd by Newberg to adjourn at 5:43 p.m. Voice vote, motion carried,
