Maroa Countryside Fire Protection District responded to 94 calls in 2018 - 11.3 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Maroa Countryside included 36 fires - 31 structure fires, two vehicle fires and three other fires.

In all, the department saw $2,700 in fire loss - or about $75 per fire.

The department also received 58 false calls.

The Maroa Countryside Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $119,332 in 2018.
