Dewitt County Public Safety Committee met Aug. 13.
Here is the minutes provided by the committee:
MEMBERS PRESENT: Lance Reece - Chair, David Newberg, and Christy Pruser. Also present, Dee Dee Rentmeister, County Administrator.
MEMBERS ABSENT: Nate Ennis and Travis Houser
SUMMARY OF DISCSSION:
• Sheriff Walker was present and informed the committee that the Logan County Sheriff has reached out to him asked ifhe could take new arrests since he has 11 COVID cases. The new arrests will come directly to De Witt County and Logan County will reimburse for housing costs.
• Motion by Pruser, 2nd by Newberg to approve the claims. Voice vote, motion carried.
• Motion by Newberg, 2nd by Pruser to approve last month's minutes. Voice vote, motion carried.
• Committee reviewed FY 21 budget requests from EMA and Animal Control. Budgets will be forwarded to the finance committee for review and wages.
• Motion by Pruser, 2nd by Newberg to adjourn at 7:48 a.m. Voice vote, motion carried.
