Dewitt County Property Committee met Oct. 7.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

MEMBERS PRESENT: Scott Nimmo – Chair, Lance Reece, Dan Matthews and Christy Pruser. Nate Ennis via teleconference. Also, present Kevin Kemp, Maintenance Supervisor and Dee Rentmeister, County Administrator.

MEMBERS ABSENT: None

SUMMARY OF DISCUSSION:

 Motion by Pruser, 2nd by Matthews to approve the claims. Voice vote, motion carried.

 Motion by Matthews, 2nd by Ennis to approve last month’s minutes. Voice vote, motion carried.

 Kemp informed committee that he only received one bid to extend the fencing at the East Annex and was expecting to have another one in time for the meeting. Committee discussed purchasing privacy slats for the fencing or possibly planting shrubs/trees. Motion by Reece, 2nd by Matthews to table the fencing. Voice vote, motion carried.

 Project updates

 Judge Koritz would like to have the jury room remodeled. Committee felt that this expense should be paid for by the Judge. Kevin will get with the Judge with the estimates that he obtained.

 Kevin explained why the circulation pumps had to be replaced.

 Discussion on the marina parking lot. No improvements will be made until grant money is received. Kevin will notify the chairman of the marina committee if he notices any items that need to be addressed.

 Roof project should begin soon.

 Motion by Pruser, 2nd by Matthews to adjourn at 7:30 a.m. Voice vote, motion carried.

COMMITTEE ACTION:

Approve the claims.

Approve last month’s minutes.

Table the fencing project.
