UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS AT CHAMPAIGN: Extension Media Release: Free event to tour Crossing Garden and learn about composting

Composting may be the answer you are looking for. Explore the expansive Crossing Healthcare Garden that is bursting with produce. See the different techniques implemented at the garden, including the composting system. After the tour, learn about how to compost and why it is beneficial.

Crossing and Composting will be from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on July 12 at Crossing Healthcare Garden, 320 East Central Ave., Decatur, IL. This free event will include a tour of the Crossing Healthcare Garden led by Master Gardeners and an educational session on composting presented by Horticulture Educator Sarah Vogel.
