City of Decatur City Council Met July 12.

Here is the minutes provided by the council:

The City Council of the City of Decatur, Illinois, met in Study Session at 5:30 p.m., in the City Council Chambers, One Gary K. Anderson Plaza, Decatur, Illinois.

Mayor Julie Moore Wolfe presided, together with her being Council members Bill Faber, Ed Culp, David Horn and Chuck Kuhle. Council members Rodney Walker and Lisa Gregory were absent. Mayor Moore Wolfe declared a quorum present.

City Manager Scot Wrighton attended the meeting as well.

Mayor Moore Wolfe led the Pledge of Allegiance.

Mayor Moore Wolfe called for a Study Session on Water Supply, Water Treatment and Water Distribution Issues.

City Manager Scot Wrighton introduced the four (4) points of the presentation: Watershed Management, Water Supply, Water Treatment and Water Distribution.

Mr. Amrou Atassi and Mr. Mark White with CDM Smith Consulting gave a presentation and recommendation on proposed improvements to the city's water treatment and distribution systems over the next 30 years.

Mr. Allen Wehrmann with Intera answered questions from City Council members regarding improvements to water treatment and distribution.

Mr. Bill Faber exited the Council Chambers at 6:28 p.m. and returned at 6:31 p.m. With no further discussion, Mayor Moore Wolfe called for Appearance of Citizens.

The following citizens provided comments to the Council: Dwayne Bobbitt and Lorraine Walker.

With the conclusion of the Study Session, Mayor Moore Wolfe called for adjournment.

Councilman Kuhle moved the Council meeting be adjourned; seconded by Councilman Horn and on call of the roll, Council members Bill Faber, Ed Culp, David Horn, Chuck Kuhle and Mayor Moore Wolfe voted aye. Mayor Moore Wolfe declared the motion carried.

Mayor Moore Wolfe declared the City Council Study Session adjourned at 7:19 p.m.
