Sangamon Valley High School issued the following announcement on Oct. 18
We look forward to kicking the year off with you all. Please remember masks are to be worn at all times in the building. If you do not have a mask or need a replacement, come to the high school office. Also, we will have hand sanitiser in each of your classrooms and please remember to wash your hands! It is important we all do our part in staying safe!
ATTENTION:
REMEMBER ALL HATS MUST BE IN YOUR LOCKERS OR LEFT IN YOUR VEHICLES OR AT HOME. Please review the student handbook in regards to the dress code. We will be strictly enforcing this.
- Buy last year's Yearbook in Miss Jones room for $45. Cash or check made out to SVHS Publications. You can buy this years Yearbook on yearbookordercenter.com with the school code: 17358
- Please remember to turn your lunch money into the box in the mornings before 10:30am to make sure it has been applied for the day!
- Seniors- REMEMBER to turn in your proof of meningitis vaccine to the office as soon as possible.
- Seniors- Chad Mitchell will be here on Tuesday, November 9th for Senior Headshots. We have a sign up sheet here in the office with time slots starting at 8:30am - 10:30am. Please sign up as soon as possible.
- FFA Greenhand Bowl practice in Mrs. Denton’s room during advisory.
- NHS will now be offering tutoring in the cafeteria before school from 7:25-8:00AM for anyone needing help. No appointment is necessary.
- The Yearbook is in need of your Homecoming pictures. If you have pictures from the week’s events or the dance that you can share, please email them to Remi Mendenhall or Faith Buoy.
- The Building Trades Career Day is back, and will be held Tuesday, November 9, 2021. For those students interested in careers within the trades this is a great event to attend. Local trade unions will be there to not only do hands-on demonstrations, but also talk with students about job opportunities within the unions. Please contact Mrs. Antonacci to sign-up to attend this event.

Book Club begins in November. This month's selection is Hold Back the Tide. See Ms. Bryan in the library from October 25-29 to pick up your copy and get meeting info! Only 20 books available!
- This is the last week for the Library bulletin board game, Tri-Bond! Winners will be announced Monday!
- SVHS students are working on a birthday card for Haley Embrey. Please stop by the library (except during 5B) to sign!!
