Q2 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Macon County?

There were 63 offenders living in Macon County released on parole during the second quarter of 2021, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Macon Reporter.

The data shows 61 men and two women were released in Macon County. Of the parolees, one is a veteran, and the median age is 34. The youngest parolee was a 21-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2020, and the oldest was a 58-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving alcohol in 2020.

The offender incarcerated the longest was Tyrone Humphrey. He was convicted of a property crime in 1995 when he was 17 years old. He is now 44.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the second quarter of 2021 in each Macon County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
