Report: Blue Ridge School District spent $14,848 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Blue Ridge Community Unified School District 18 was up 26.7 percent from five years ago, according to the Macon Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Dewitt County school district spent $11,719 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $14,848 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 782 to 688 students over the same period.

Blue Ridge's spending in 2019-20 was 2.5 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
