Report: Clinton School District spent $11,687 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Clinton Community Unit School District 15 was up 20.5 percent from five years ago, according to the Macon Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Dewitt County school district spent $9,701 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $11,687 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 2,023 to 1,767 students over the same period.

Clinton's spending in 2019-20 was 19.4 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
