We are continuing our series of highlighting our black alumni and the success they have achieved since graduating from Richland Community College. Today, we share the story of Richland alumna, Latosha Agnew.
Latosha graduated from Richland in 2019 with an Associates in Nursing. Because of her wonderful experience at Richland, Latosha had the drive to chase all that she wanted in life: “Attending Richland was a journey, but it made me strive more for what I wanted. Educators at Richland were amazing and because of them, I have the knowledge and competence to be successful! I always want more now, my journey graduating from Richland is where my LIFE started.” Latosha is a proud single mom who is demonstrating to her boys that they should always chase their dreams! Latosha is currently a Clinical Registered Nurse at Memorial Pain Center and is studying to earn her bachelor's degree.
Latosha shared with us a piece of advice she received from her Grandpa Stan, “NEVER give up! Reach for your dreams. If you fall, don’t worry, STAND tall! One thing for certain is you DO NOT find life worth living, you MAKE it worth living. A higher STANDARD of LIVING is a higher standard of THINKING.”
Latosha, you are so determined, we have no doubt you will continue to do great things! Your boys have a fantastic role model. We are #richlandproud of you!
