Ricco Kennedy, a medical lab assistant in Springfield Memorial Hospital’s outpatient department, is the nonprofit hospital Colleague of the Month for January.
Easy to spot around the hospital because of his colorful footwear, Kennedy is also known for his patient care, hospital officials said.
Kennedy, of Springfield, aspires to pursue higher education and a career in medicine.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, children and extended family. Along with his wife, Kennedy is a personal trainer, and he also works as a mechanic.
