Clinton Community Unit School District 15 Board met Feb. 15.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

The regular meeting of the Board of Education of Clinton Community Unit School District No. 15 of the counties of DeWitt, Macon and Logan, State of Illinois, was held at CLINTON JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL LIBRARY 701 ILLINI DRIVE, CLINTON, IL 61727.

Upon roll call the following members were present:

Mr. Dan Matthews

Mr. Chris Hammer

Mrs. Sondra Baker

Mr. Steve Oswald

Absent

Mrs. Tammie Ennis

Mr. John Heinlen

Mr. Wes Cothern

Administrators present were:

Mr. Curt Nettles, Superintendent of Schools

Mr. Drew Goebel, Director of Business and Support Staff Services

Mr. Jerry Wayne, High School Principal

Mr. Jim Peck, Junior High School Principal

Mrs. Sacha Young, Clinton Elementary School Principal

Mrs. Beth Wickenheiser, Douglas/Lincoln School Principal

No Guests or Visitor Participation

GUESTS, VISITORS & PUBLIC PARTICIPATION

It was moved by Chris Hammer, seconded by Steve Oswald, to approve the Consent

CONSENT AGENDA

Agenda which includes:

A. Approve the minutes of the January 18 meeting.

B. Financial Information – Imprest Fund, Petty Cash Report, Treasurer’s Report, Investment Summary, Insurance Pool Report, Transportation Report, Activity Fund Report, and Bills.

C. Approve the employment of Jade Johnson as custodian effective immediately.

D. Approve the employment of Mally Hickman as PE teacher at CJHS for 2022-23.

E. Approve the paternity leave for Kelbey McMath for 3 weeks beginning on or around April 15.

F. Approve the maternity leave for Staci McMath for the remainder of the school year beginning on or around April 15.

G. Accept the resignation of Kathy Murphy as CJHS kitchen manager effective immediately.

H. Approve the employment of Nicole Baize for the CJHS kitchen effective immediately.

I. Accept the resignation of Colleen Schutte as CHS cheer coach effective at the end of the 2021-22 season.

J. Accept the resignation of Jennifer Jacobs as CHS aide effective February 25, 2022.

K. Accept Jena Thomas as volunteer asst. track coach for 2021-22.

L. Approve the girls’ track team overnight trip for April 8-9 at Triad High School (near St. Louis) The President put the motion to a vote and the following roll call was taken:

Baker, yea

Oswald, yea

NEW BUSINESS

It was moved by Chris Hammer, seconded by Sondra Baker, to approve 2022-23 CALENDAR the 2022-2023 school calendar as presented. The President put the motion to a vote and the voice vote was 4 “yea”.

Motion carried

It was moved by Sondra Baker, seconded Chris Hammer to approve the IESA & IHSA Membership with IESA and IHSA for 2022-2023. The President put the motion to a vote and the voice vote was 4 “yea”.

Alt Ed building getting new owner, Counselor vacancy, Law Suit filed 2/10, Survey

It was moved by Sondra Baker, seconded by Chris Hammer and duly voted ADJOURNMENT by acclamation to adjourn at 6:49pm.
