New Web Portal Improves Patients’ Access to Their Medical Records

67

Memorial Health debuted a new portal for patients that provides secure, online access to their medical information.

The My Health Memorial Hospitals patient portal will allow easy access to an individual’s medical information, including lab and X-ray results, physician documentation and upcoming appointments.

The portal is for patients of Springfield Memorial Hospital and Memorial Care’s urgent care locations in Springfield and Decatur.

Patients may enroll in the new portal during registration or self-enroll.

There are two ways to self-enroll: Use the QR code on the bottom of their discharge paperwork or visit MHS.IQhealth.com/self-enroll. Patients must be 18 or older to self-enroll.

During self-enrollment, patients are asked to verify their identity using an email address or their Social Security number. If a patient chooses email, a verification code is sent to the email address.

After enrollment, patients may access the patient portal using the HealtheLife app. The app is available to download through the Apple Store or Google Play store. Patients should select My Health Memorial Hospitals before logging in the first time.

The newly launched portal is Memorial Health’s initial effort to improve access to patient records, health system officials said. The next step is to launch the portal for patients of Decatur Memorial Hospital and Jacksonville Memorial Hospital in 2023.

Current patient information on Memorial Health’s Follow My Health portal will not transfer to My Health Memorial Hospitals. Patients may access their information on Follow My Health by clicking on the My Health Memorial link inside the My Health Memorial Hospitals portal.

My Health Memorial Hospitals does not replace the Follow My Health portal. The new portal is an additional portal that allows patients to view their entire record when they visit Springfield Memorial Hospital and Memorial Care’s urgent care locations in Springfield and Decatur.

Follow My Health will still be used in Memorial Care’s primary care locations in Springfield, Decatur, Jacksonville, Lincoln and Taylorville.

Patients with questions about the new portal may email MyHealthMemorialHospitals@mhsil.com.
