In an Oct. 7 Facebook post, Rep. Dan Caulkins (R-Decatur) endorsed Regan Deering to represent the 13th District.
“Proud to endorse the BEST candidate for the 13th, Regan Deering," Caulkins posted.
In his Facebook post, Caulkins shared a Macon County Republican Women's Facebook post. It read: "So proud of Regan Deering! Regan did a fantastic job in the debate. She’s obviously the best choice for the 13th! It’s time for MCRW to mobilize, volunteer and get the vote out for Regan "
According to her campaign website, Deering is a lifelong resident of Illinois. She has experience as the Capital Campaign Chair for the Northeast Community Fund, and as chair of the Decatur Public School Foundation.
