Millikin sophomore Sophia Howell was named All-Region Honorable Mention by the American Volleyball Coaches Association.
The libero from St. Louis, Mo. tallied 139 digs in matches against regionally ranked opponents, nine service aces, and a reception percentage of .943 in 159 attempts. In the six matches against nationally ranked opponents, Howell notched 122 digs and eight aces.
Overall this season, Howell led the way in digs with 508 total, and notched a .945 reception percentage in 600 total attempts. She added 35 total service aces.
There are 200 players being honored, and they represent 112 different schools.
Each of the 10 regions named 14 student-athletes to the All-Region team, and six players earned honorable mention recognition. Additionally, every region selected a Player of the Year, Coach of the Year, and Freshman of the Year.

The All-America teams and Freshman of the Year will be revealed on Tuesday, Nov. 15, followed by the National Player of the Year, Coach of the Year and Assistant Coach of the Year announcement on Wednesday, Nov. 16.
