Trevor worked closely with the parents of a patient who arrived at the hospital with significant life-threatening trauma. Trevor coordinated with the family, the care team, nurse management, clinical ethics and security for several days to ensure the parents could be near their child despite challenging circumstances.
“Trevor helped create an environment in which rules had to be followed, but grace was given to ensure these parents could continue to be involved in the care of their child,” wrote Trevor’s nominator. “He did an amazing job of balancing tolerance with boundaries, while also considering the patient’s needs.”
