City of Decatur Water Department will be repairing a watermain failure in front of 701 West Grand Avenue, beginning Monday, December 19, 2022. This will cause the closure of the inside east and westbound lanes in front of 701 West Grand Avenue starting at 8:00 a.m. Monday, December 19, 2022, to 3:00 p.m. Friday, December 23, 2022. South Shores Drive between Baywood Dr. and Lake Pointe – Dec. 20-22

Burdick Plumbing will be tying into the water main on South Shores Dr. between Baywood Dr. and Lake Pointe, beginning Tuesday, December 20, 2022. This work will cause the complete closure of South Shores Drive, between Baywood Drive and Lake Pointe, from 7:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 20, 2022 to 5:00 p.m. Thursday, December 22, 2022. Detour route will be as follows: Eastbound through traffic will need to take Franklin Street Road to Grove Road to Southland Drive to South Shores Drive; and Westbound through traffic will need to take Grove Road to Franklin Street Road to South Shores Drive.  Motorist should slow down, use extreme caution, and are encouraged to seek an alternate route around the work zone.
