Road Closures Feb. 13-19, 2023

W. Wood St. & S. Oakland Ave. –

City of Decatur Water crew will be working to repair a water main failure in the intersection of West Wood Street and South Oakland Avenue beginning Monday, February 13, 2023, weather permitting.  This work will cause the partial closure of the intersection of West Wood Street and South Oakland Avenue starting at 8:00 a.m., Monday, February 13, 2023 and continuing to approximately 3:30 p.m., Friday, February 17, 2023.   Motorists should slow down, use extreme caution and are encouraged to seek an alternate route around the work zone.  For further details, please contact Jason Lawson at (217) 875-5705.

N. Woodford St. –

Illinois Mechanical will be conducting sewer and water tapping in the 2000 block of North Woodford Street, beginning Monday, February 13, 2023. This work will cause the closure of the 2000 block of North Woodford Street, beginning Monday, February 13, 2023, at 7:00am and ending Friday, February 17, 2023, at 5:00pm. The detour will be as follows: intersection of Woodford/Garfield head west to Jasper Street to Pershing Road to Woodford Street, southbound traffic use Lowber Street to Garfield Avenue. N. Jasper St. –

City of Decatur water department will be conducting watermain failure repair in the 2400 block of North Jasper Street, beginning Wednesday, February 8, 2023. This work will cause the closure of the outside of the southbound lane in the 2400 block of North Jasper Street, beginning Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at 12:00pm and ending Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at 3:00pm. Southbound Lane Rt.48 –

City crews will be doing concrete pavement replacement, beginning Tuesday, February 7, 2023.  This work will cause the south bound inside lane from Route 48 to Dividend Drive to be reduced to one lane for south bound traffic, from 12:00 p.m. Tuesday ,February 7, 2023, to 3:00 p.m. Friday, February 17, 2023.  Motorist should slow down, use extreme caution, and are encouraged to seek an alternate route around the work zone.  For further details, please contact Byron Bowman at 217-875-4820.
