Q1 2022 Recap: 7 parolees from Macon County convicted of sex crimes set for release

There were seven offenders convicted of sex crimes living in Macon County released on parole during the first quarter of 2022, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the Macon Reporter.

The data shows six men and one woman were among the parolees. The median age of the parolees sentenced for sex crimes was 44. The youngest parolee was a 35-year-old woman sentenced in 2018, and the oldest was a 52-year-old man sentenced in 2014.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Sydney Green. He was convicted in 2014 when he was 44 years old. He is now 52.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The following table shows how many offenders convicted of sex crimes were paroled during the first quarter of 2022 in each Illinois county.
