DeWitt County Board met July 20.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

ROLL CALL

PLEDGE AND INVOCATION

EXECUTIVE SESSION:

PERSONS TO ADDRESS THE BOARD / PUBLIC COMMENT:

CORRESPONDENCE:

*Danielle Anderson sent an email with an attached letter in response to the proposed amendment to Chapter 155 of DeWitt County Ordinances with the purpose to provide comments and concerns with the proposed amendment and to identify reasonable alternatives to consider.

*Letter received from The Coalition to Stop Co Pipelines asking landowners/residents to not sign a voluntary easement with Wolf.

COUNTY BOARD MINUTES:

*Motion to approve the June 22, 2023, County Board meeting minutes.

APPOINTMENTS:

*Motion to approve the Resolution for the reappointment of Kirk L Henry as a Commissioner of the Rutledge Empire Drainage District for a 3-year term set to expire on the first Tuesday in September, 2026.

*Motion to appoint Joe Witte to fill the position on the RPC that is vacant due to the resignation of Tom Smerz.

LAND USE: Report given by Mr. Carter. For discussion and possible action: 

*Motion to approve case A35-2023 Revision to 155.053B(1)(2) Prohibiting CO injection wells in all zoning districts.

PUBLIC SAFETY: Report given by Mrs. Myers. For discussion and possible action: *Motion to authorize up to $12,000 for fencing/runs at the Animal Shelter from the contingency fund.

*Motion to enter into a Shelter Medicine Agreement with the U of I.

PROPERTY: Report given by Mr. Ferguson. For discussion and possible action:

*No Recommendations.

ROAD AND BRIDGE: Report given by Mr. Prestegaard. For discussion and possible action:

*Did Not Meet.

MARINA: Report given by Mr. Matthews. For Discussion and possible action: 

*No Recommendations.

FINANCE: Report given by Mrs. Tilley. For Discussion and possible action:

*Motion to pay all bills.

*Motion to increase the FOP wage schedules for FY24 by an additional 1%, FY25 and FY26 by an additional 2%.

*Motion to approve the proposed revision to Chapter 38.040 of the County Personnel Policy.

OLD AND/OR NEW BUSINESS: For Discussion and possible action:

*Replace the generator in the County Building utilizing ARPA funds.

*Move forward with request for proposals for the sale of the Marina.

*Issue fine to Enel/Alta Farms for violation of curtailment agreement/condition.

*Proposed Construction Inspection contract from HLR for the Revere Rd Section 20-00044-04-RS project.
