Maroa Forsyth Community Unit School District 2 Board of Education met Nov. 2.
Here are the minutes provided by the board:
1. Call to Order
Roll call taken, present included Conway, Zuniga, Crawford, Lidy, Feinstein, and Parker. Wise arrived at 6:13pm. No absences
2. Pledge of Allegiance
3. Closed Session - For the Purpose of appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees, specific individuals. 5ILCS 120/2(c)(1)
Motion by William Parker Seconded by Isaac Zuniga to enter closed session at 6:00pm. All members present voted in yes. Motion carried.
The board discussed the candidates for the superintendent's position, along with the contract and compensation for the position.
Motion by Matt Crawford and seconded by Isaac Zuniga to close executive session at 7:12pm. All members vote yes. Motion Carried.
a. Motion by Isaac Zuniga and seconded by Matt Crawford to of the position of superintendent to Adam Ibbotson effective July 1, 2024. All members voted yes. Motion Carried
4. Adjourn - Motion by Matt Crawford and seconded Jill Feinstein to adjourn the meeting at 7:14pm. All members voted yes. Motion Carried.
