1. Policy 2:20 raises the bid threshold from $25,000 to $35,000

2. Policy 2:200 permits Boards to meet in closed session for hearings regarding denial of admission to school events under the Open Meeting Act

3. Policy 4:130 establishes the Healthy School Meals for All Program; if State funding is available, Boards may determine annually if they will participate

4. Policy 4:160 prohibits schools serving K-8 students from scheduling pesticide application on school grounds during a school day when students are in attendance for instruction

5. Policy 5:30 requires employers to include the pay scale and benefits for a position in any specific job posting

6. Policy 5:330 adds 2024 Election Day as a school holiday

7. Policy 6:60 requires health education to include the dangers of fentanyl starting in the 2024-2025; requires health education to include instruction on the dangers of allergies starting in 2024-2025

8. Policy 7:60 permits Boards to adopt a policy to waive nonresident tuition for a students who is a child of a district employee

9. Policy 7:160 prohibits schools from denying students the right to wear or accessorize their graduation attire with items associated with their culture, ethnic, or religious identity

10. Policy 7:180 updates the definition of bullying, the bullying report process, and contact information for complaint managers

11. Policy 7:190 includes prohibition of academic dishonesty via use of artificial intelligence 12. Policy 7:290 requires all district staff who work with students to be trained on identifying warning signs of mental illness, trauma & suicidal behavior; requires districts to insert contact information for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, Crisis Text Line, and Safe2Help IL helpline in students ID cards
