Warrensburg-Latham Community Unit School District 11 Board met Nov. 15.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

Warrensburg-Latham District Office, 430 W North Street, Warrensburg, Il President, David Munson, called the regular meeting of the board of education to order at 6:00 p.m.

Members present by roll call vote were: Greg Hale Jr., RJ McKenzie, David Munson, Victoria Williams and David Zaske.

Clay Sellmeyer.entered the meeting at 6:35 p.m.

Pledge of Allegiance - WLES Student Salute - Kennedy Kowa & Graiden Burns (4th Grade)

Mrs. Wyman presented information regarding WLES Kindness Club. Board Member Appreciation Day was recognized.

The administration present consisted of Paul Hoffman.

Others present consisted of Recording Secretary, Teresa Bailey, Recording Secretary in training, Kirsten Perkins and visitors: Bond Wyman, Jennifer Hickey, Morgan Kupper, Tami Kupper, Brion Kupper, Sue Kowa, Zach Kowa, Megan Kowa, Layton Kowa, Kennedy Kowa, Danniel Wentworth, Drew Wentworth, Stuart, Graiden & Dena Burns, Kara McCroskey and Macey McCroskey.

A motion was made by Mrs. Victoria Williams and seconded by Mr. David Zaske to approve the consent agenda containing approval of monthly financial reports , minutes, special meeting minutes, approval of executive session meeting minutes and destruction of recordings as presented. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. David Munson and seconded by Mrs. Victoria Williams to approve the November 2023 bills as presented for payment. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

Teresa Bailey presented information regarding Monthly Financial Update.

A motion was made by Mr. David Munson to nominate Mr. Clay Sellmeyer to be appointed Board Secretary. A motion was made by Mrs. Victoria Williams to nominate Mr. David Zaske to be appointed Board Secretary. Each nomination received 3 ayes. A second motion was made by Mrs. Victoria Williams to nominate Mr. David Zaske. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mrs. Victoria Williams and second by Mr. Davix Zaske to approve the resolution regarding the estimated tax levy for 2023. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. Clay Sellmeyer and seconded by Mr. RJ McKenzie to approve the Truth in Taxation hearing for December 13, 2023 at 6:00 PM. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. David Munson and seconded by Mrs. Victoria Williams to approve the FMLA request for Sandra Fisher, 3rd Grade Teacher. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mrs. Victoria Williams and seconded by Mr. David Zaske to approve the FMLA request for Candy Ridgeway, Middle School Special Education Teacher. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. Greg Hale and seconded by Mrs. Victoria Williams to approve Long term substitute Matt Cushing to cover FMLA leave request for Candy Ridgeway. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mrs. Victoria Williams and seconded by Mr. David Zaske to approve the resignation of Dan Lightner as the Drama/Art Design Sponsor All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mrs. Victoria Williams and seconded by Mr. Greg Hale to approve the hire of Kylee Tillman as full-time evening custodian as presented and pending satisfactory background checks and employment history review. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mrs. Victoria Williams and seconded by Mr. David Zaske to approve the hiring of Tashawna Streight as a full time day custodian as presented and pending satisfactory background checks and employment history review. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. David Munson and seconded by Mrs. Victoria Williams to approve Chad Deaton as a Volunteer MS/HS Wrestling Coach. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. RJ McKenzie and seconded by Mr. David Zaske to approve Kings Financial as the independent registered municipal advisors concerning the structure, timing, and method of sale of bonds as presented. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. David Munson and seconded by Mr. Greg Hale to approve Park Farms, Storage & Snow Removal for the 2023-24 school year as presented. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

Mrs. Teresa Bailey presented information regarding District Health Insurance. Various informational items were discussed.

A motion was made by Mrs. Victoria Williams and seconded by Mr. Clay Sellmeyer to adjourn the November 15, 2023 meeting of the Warrensburg-Latham CUSD#11 Board of Education at 8:45 p.m. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.
