The Music Bingo fundraiser is being organized by Prairie Fire DJ Services. It promises an engaging night of games and festivities with proceeds going towards Lisa Smith's campaign for State Representative. Attendees can participate in the bingo game by purchasing eight cards for $20 or play a blackout game for $10. Smith’s campaign revolves around the theme of "GOD AND COUNTRY," highlighting her commitment to core values and advocacy for the freedoms of district residents.

Smith is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with a Doctorate from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Her campaign centers on defending constitutional rights and fostering positive change. As per her website, her commitment to family values is underscored by her 35-year marriage to a pastor, motherhood to ten children (seven adopted), and her family’s dedication to public service - three of her sons have served or are currently serving in the military, according to her website.
State House District 96 encompasses all or parts of Springfield, Decatur, Taylorville, Blue Mound, Mount Auburn, Niantic, Edinburg and Rochester. The seat is presently occupied by State Rep. Sue Scherer (D-Decatur). According to ilga.gov, Scherer has held this position since 2013.
