Warrensburg-Latham Community Unit School District 11 Board met Feb. 28.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

Warrensburg-Latham District Office, 430 W North Street, Warrensburg, Il President, David Munson, called the regular meeting of the board of education to order at 6:04 p.m.

Members present by roll call vote were: Greg Hale Jr., RJ McKenzie, David Munson, Clay Sellmeyer, Chris Wentworth, Victoria Williams and David Zaske.

A motion was made by Mr. Clay Sellmeyer and seconded by Mr. David Zaske to adjourn to closed meeting at 6:27 p.m. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

The administration present consisted of: Paul Hoffman, Bret Reedy, Allison Nolen and Laura Wentworth.

Others present consisted of Recording Secretary:Teresa Bailey, Recording Secretary in Training: Kirsten Perkins and visitors: Carla Miller, Kristen Price, Karen Fuiten, Carson Moore, Paisley Parrish, Keith Hackl and Keith Shuman.

A motion was made by Mrs. Victoria Williams and seconded by Mr. David Zaske to approve the consent agenda containing approval of monthly financial reports , minutes, special meeting minutes, approval of executive session meeting minutes and destruction of recordings as presented. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. David Munson and seconded by Mr. Clay Sellmeyer to approve the February 2024 bills as presented for payment. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

Teresa Bailey presented information regarding Monthly Financial Update.

A motion was made by Mr. David Munson and seconded by Mr. RJ McKenzie to approve the resignation of WLHS English Teacher, Kyline Burge as presented. . All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. Greg Hale and seconded by Mr. David Zaske to approve the resignation of WLES School Administrative Manager, Amber Balfour, as presented. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. David Munson and second by Mr. David Zaske to approve the hire of WLES School Administrative Manager, Chloe Thomas, as presented and pending satisfactory background checks. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. David Zaske and seconded by Mr. Greg Hale to approve the hire of Transportation Director/ Mechanic Technician, Keith Shuman as presented and pending satisfactory background checks. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. RJ McKenzie and seconded by Mr. David Munson to approve the resignation of Middle School Girls’ Basketball Coach, Jensen Cearlock, as presented. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. RJ McKenzie and seconded by Mr. Greg Hale to approve the resignation of High School Girls’ Soccer Coach, Kyline Burge, as presented All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. David Munson and seconded by Mr. RJ McKenzie to approve the extra-duty stipend for securing substitute teachers outside of the school day as presented. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. David Munson and seconded by Mr. RJ McKenzie to approve the Spring/Summer Facility & Infrastructure Projects as recommended. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. Clay Sellmeyer and seconded by Mr. David Munson to approve the purchase of a 71 passenger bus with AC for the cost of $132,820 as presented. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mrs. Victoria Williams and seconded by Mr. Chris Wetnworth to approve the agreement with Industrial Appraisal Company to conduct on on-site inspection and appraisal of the buildings, site improvements, fixed equipment and movable equipment for all locations at a cost of $5,980. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

Various informational items were discussed.

A motion was made by Mrs. Victoria Williams and seconded by Mr. Clay Sellmeyer to adjourn the February 28, 2024 meeting of the Warrensburg-Latham CUSD#11 Board of Education at 9:50 p.m. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

Special Meeting: Monday, March 18, 6 pm for CBA Meeting and March 26 at 6 pm. Next meeting: Regular meeting is March 27, 2024 at 6:00 PM
