I-Cash event for unclaimed property to be hosted in Bloomington

State Representative Dan Caulkins (il) | Representative Dan Caulkins (R) 88th District

State Representative Dan Caulkins (R-Decatur) and Senators Tom Bennett (R-Gibson City) and Sally Turner (R-Beason) will host an I-Cash event in collaboration with the Illinois Treasurer’s Office on June 20th. The event is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Representative Caulkins’ Bloomington office, located at 2401 E. Washington St.

Residents of the 88th House District and the 44th and 53rd Senate Districts are invited to attend to check if they have unclaimed property held by the Illinois Treasurer’s Office. According to the Treasurer’s website, unclaimed property typically includes intangible items such as checking and savings accounts, uncashed wage checks, stock certificates or dividends, insurance payments, utility deposits, customer deposits, accounts payable, credit balances, refund checks, money orders, traveler’s checks, mineral proceeds, court deposits, death benefit checks and life insurance proceeds. It does not include real estate or vehicles.
