World Elder Abuse Awareness Day is an important day to recognize the estimated 1 to 2 million Americans over the age of 65 who are abused by someone they depend on for care each year. "We can all do our part to fight elder abuse by remaining aware of the signs, educating others, and advocating for the elders in our own lives."
