Warrensburg-Latham Community Unit School District 11 Board met May 29.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

Warrensburg-Latham District Office, 430 W North Street, Warrensburg, Il President, David Munson, called the regular meeting of the board of education to order at 5:00 p.m.

Members present by roll call vote were: Greg Hale Jr., R.J. McKenzie, David Munson, Clay Sellmeyer, Chris Wentworth, Victoria Williams and David Zaske.

A motion was made by Mr .R.J. McKenzie and seconded by Mr. David Zaske to adjourn to closed meeting at 5:01p.m. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

Administration present consisted of Cheryl Warner.

Others present consisted of Recording Secretary Kirsten Perkins and visitors: none. President, David Munson calls the special meeting to return to order at 5:46 p.m.

A motion was made by Mr. Greg Hale Jr. and seconded by Mr. R.J. McKenzie to approve the retirement of WLES Music Teacher, Julia Long, effective the end of the 2027-2028 school year. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. David Munson and seconded by Mr. Greg Hale Jr. to approve the resignation of WLES School Administrative Manager, Chloe Thomas, effective June 10, 2024.All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. David Munson and seconded by Mr. Greg Hale Jr. to approve the resignation of WLES Title Teaching Assistant, Emma Moore, effective immediately. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. Chris Wentworth and seconded by Mr. R.J. McKenzie to approve the transfer of WLHS One-on-One Special Education Assistant, Doug Dehority, to WLHS Classroom Special Education Assistant effective immediately. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. David Munson and seconded by Mr. David Zaske to approve WLHS Assistant Football Coach, Drew Whitsel, for the 2024-2025 school year as presented and pending satisfactory background checks. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. R.J. McKenzie and seconded by Mr. David Zaske to approve WLHS Head Girls’ Soccer Coach, Brad Swartz, for the 2024-2025 school year as presented and pending satisfactory background checks. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mrs. Victoria Williams and seconded by Mr. R.J. McKenzie to approve WLHS Boys’ and Girls’ Assistant Track and Field Coach, Chad Sloan, for the 2023-2024 school year as presented and pending satisfactory background checks. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. Chris Wentworth and seconded by Mr. R.J. McKenzie to renew Allison Nolen as the High School Principal for the 2024-2025 school year. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. Greg Hale Jr. and seconded by Mr. Chris Wentworth to renew Bret Reedy as the High School Assistant Principal/Athletic Trainer for the 2024-2025 school year. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. David Munson and seconded by Mrs. Victoria Williams to renew Paul Hoffman as the Middle School Principal for the 2024-2025 school year. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. Clay Sellmeyer and seconded by Mr. David Zaske to renew Laura Wentworth as the Elementary School Principal for the 2024-2025 school year. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. Greg Hale Jr. and seconded by Mr. R.J. McKenzie to renew Chris Reed as the Director of Technology for the 2024-2025 school year. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mrs. Victoria Williams and seconded by Mr. David Munson to approve the Education Support Staff compensation as presented and discussed. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. Clay Sellmeyer and seconded by Mr. Greg Hale Jr. to approve the inclusion of girls and boys 5th grade in cross country as presented. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. David Musnon and seconded by Mr. R.J. McKenzie to approve the Professional Negotiations Agreement between the Board of Education of School District No. 11 Warrensburg, Illinois Education Association for 2024-2027 as presented. All members present vote aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. David Zaske and seconded by Mrs. Victoria Williams to adjourn the May 29, 2024 meeting of the Warrensburg-Latham CUSD#11 Board of Education at 6:01 p.m. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.
