Warrensburg-Latham Community Unit School District 11 Board met June 26.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

Vice-President, Victoria Williams, called the regular meeting of the board of education to order at 6:06 p.m.

Members present by roll call vote were: Greg Hale Jr., Clay Sellmeyer, Chris Wentworth and Victoria Williams.

Absent: R.J. McKenzie, David Munson and David Zaske.

Pledge of Allegiance

A motion was made by Mr. Clay Sellmeyer and seconded by Mr. Greg Hale to adjourn to closed meeting at 6:06 p.m. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

Vice-President, Victoria Williams convenes the FY24 budget hearing at 6:07 p.m. Mrs. Teresa Bailey provided information regarding budget presentation and budget summary.

Vice-President, Victoria Williams asked if there were any public comment at which time there was none.

Vice-President. Victoria Williams adjourned the FY24 budget hearing at 6:09 p.m. Administration present consisted of: none.

Others present consisted of Recording Secretary:Teresa Bailey.

A motion was made by Mrs. Victoria Williams and seconded by Mr.Clay Sellmeyer to approve the consent agenda containing approval of monthly financial reports, minutes, special meeting minutes, approval of executive session meeting minutes and destruction of recordings as presented. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. Chris Wentworth and seconded by Mr. Greg Hale to approve the June 2024 including late June bills and July 1st bills, as presented for payment. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

Mrs. Teresa Bailey presented information regarding Monthly Financial Update.

A motion was made by Mr. Chris Wentworth and seconded by Mr. Greg Hale Jr. to adopt the FY24 Amended Budget as presented. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. Chris Wentworth and seconded by Mr. Greg Hale Jr. to adopt the 2024-2025 Warrensburg-Latham CUSD#11 Student/Parent Handbook as presented. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. Greg Hale and seconded by Mr. Clay Sellmeyer to approve the hire of WLES Assistant Principal Nat Dorgan for the 2024-2025 school year. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. Chris Wentworth and seconded by Mr. Greg Hale Jr. to approve the resignation of the IT Department Technology Assistant, Devin Mendenhall, effective June 13, 2024. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. Chris Wentworth and seconded by Mr. Clay Sellmeyer to approve the transfer of Bus Driver, Jennifer Stark, to a special education route for the 2024-2025 school year as presented. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. Chris Wentworth and seconded by Mrs. Victoria Williams to approve the hire of Part-Time Custodian, Josh Scheibly, for the 2024-2025 school year as presented and pending satisfactory background checks. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mrs. Victoria Williams and seconded by Mr. Clay Sellmeyer to approve the hire of Bus Driver, John McCarthy, for the 2024-2025 school year as presented.and pending satisfactory background checks. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. Chris Wentworth and seconded by Mr. Clay Sellmeyer to approve the hire of Full-Time Custodian, Majaleus Thomas-Bond, for the 2024-2025 school year as presented and pending satisfactory background checks. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. Chris Wentworth and seconded by Mr. Clay Sellmeyer to approve the transfer of Bus Driver, Blair Williams, from a substitute to a regular route for the 2024-2025 school year as presented., All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mrs. Victoria Williams and seconded by Mr. Chris Wentworth to approve the leave of absence of WLES Teaching Assistant , Brittany DePriest, effective August 18, 2024. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mrs. Victoria Williams and seconded by Mr. Chris Wentworth to approve the resignation/transfer of HS Assistant Boys Soccer Coach, Mark Switalski, to HS Volunteer Boys Soccer Coach for the 2024-2025 school year as presented. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mrs. Victoria Williams and seconded by Mr. Clay Sellmeyer to approve the hire of HS Assistant Wrestling Coach, Mitch Behrends, for the 2024-2024 school year as presented and pending satisfactory background checks. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. Chris Wentworth and seconded by Mr. Greg Hale Jr. to approve the hire of HS Assistant Cheer Coach, Emma Moore, for the 2024-2024 school year as presented and pending satisfactory background checks. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. Chris Wentworth and seconded by Mrs. Victoria Williams to approve the hire of MS Assistant Baseball Coach, Collin Swallow, for the 2024-2024 school year as presented and pending satisfactory background checks. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. Clay Sellmeyer and seconded by Mr. Greg Hale Jr. to approve the HS Volunteer Assistant Boys Soccer Coach, Matt Reynolds, for the 2024-2025 school year as presented and pending satisfactory background checks. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. Clay Sellmeyer and seconded by Mr. Greg Hale Jr. to approve the hire/transition of HS Volunteer Assistant Boys Soccer Coach, Braxton Young, to HS Assistant Boys Soccer Coach for the 2024-2025 school year as presented. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mrs. Victoria Williams and seconded by Mr. Chris Wentworth to approve HS Volunteer Assistant Girls Basketball Coach, Jaycie Edwards, for the 2024-2025 school year as presented. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. Chris Wentworth and seconded by Mr. Clay Sellmeyer to approve the hire of MS Assistant Softball Coach, Jaycie Edwards, for the 2024-2025 school year as presented. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mrs. Victoria Williams and seconded by Mr. Chris Wentworth to approve HS Volunteer Assistant Softball Coach, Jaycie Edwards, for the 2024-2025 school year as presented. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. Clay Sellmeyer and seconded by Mr. Chris Wentworth to approve the change in retirement of Full-Time Custodian, Doug Kidd, as presented. All members present voted nay. Motion dismissed.

Various informational items were discussed.

Supt. Cheryl Warner presented information regarding FOIA Review.

A motion was made by Mrs. Victoria Williams and seconded by Mr. Clay Sellmeyer was made to retain all executive session minutes as closed for January 2024-June 2024. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. Clay Sellmeyer and seconded by Mr. Chris Wentworth to adjourn the June 26, 2024 meeting of the Warrensburg-Latham CUSD#11 Board of Education at 6:40 p.m. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.
