FOIA Request to City of Farmer City Regarding Unpaid Parking Violations on October 28, 2024.

As part of our ongoing commitment to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at Macon Reporter have submitted a request under the Illinois Freedom of Information Act, 5 ILCS 140. We are seeking access to public records detailing all unpaid parking violations within the jurisdiction of the City of Farmer City.

The requested records include specifics such as the name of the offender, their address, the amount due for each violation, the date when the violation occurred, and the total amount due. We believe that access to these records is essential in fulfilling our professional responsibilities which include holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to our readers.

Given our role in disseminating information to the public, we have also requested a fee waiver as a media professional. As always, we remain dedicated to serving our community by reporting factual news and maintaining open communication lines with public institutions like the City of Farmer City.

We look forward to their cooperation in providing these records so that we can continue informing our readers about important local issues.
