FOIA Request to City of Clinton Regarding New and Active Residential and Commercial Building Permits on October 30, 2024.
In our continued commitment to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at Macon Reporter have sent a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the City of Clinton. The request was made under the Illinois Freedom of Information Act, 5 ILCS 140, and preferably in electronic format.
We are seeking a list of all new residential and commercial building permits issued from January 1, 2023 till the present date. The requested records should include the type of permit, date issued, fee paid, requester's name, address where the permit is applied for, and contractor's name.
Additionally, we are also requesting a list of all active residential and commercial building permits along with their current status. The details sought are similar to those for new permits - type of permit, date issued, fee paid, requester's name, address where the permit is applied for, and contractor's name.
