D. Board Policy Updates - IASB Press 117 (Action item); first reading waived due to Board representation and approval of Board Policy Committee

1. Policy 2:120 requires Board members to complete trauma-informed training

2. Policy 4:30 provides allowance of districts to consider ratings of financial institutions when depositing public funds

3. Policy 4:170 requires at least one AED to be present at all attendance centers during the school day

4. Policies 5:10, 5:20 & 7:10 prohibits discrimination on the basis of reproductive health decisions and family responsibilities

5. Policy 5:90 removes the requirement for mandated reporters to confirm their oral reports in writing to DCFS

6. Policies 5:120 & 6:270 updated in response to changing the term “guidance counselor” to “school counselor”

7. Policy 5:125 updated in response to Twitter changing to X and adding Discord as a social media platform

8. Policy 6:60 updated to require career exploration & development activities in grades 6-12, recognize a College and Career Pathway Endorsement at the high school level, include worker safety in construction zones in driver education, expand health education to include dangers of fentanyl, and require instruction about climate change in 26-27

9. Policy 6:135 updates the Accelerated Placement Program

10. Policy 7:200 updated requiring districts to provide appropriate & available support services to students who are suspended out of school for 4 or more days (previously was 5 or more days)
