FOIA Request to Dewitt County Clerk Regarding 2025 Consolidated Elections Candidates on January 14, 2025.
In our ongoing efforts to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at Macon Reporter have sent a request for records under the Illinois Freedom of Information Act, 5 ILCS 140. The request was sent electronically on January 14, 2025, to the Dewitt County Clerk's office.
Our request specifically asks for a list of candidates running in the upcoming 2025 Consolidated Elections. We are seeking information that includes each candidate's name, the date they filed their candidacy, and the office they are running for.
