Village of Lovington Board of Trustees met April 29.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

Call to order: Acting President Brittany Bates called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

Pledge of Allegiance: Acting President Bates led the Pledge of Allegiance. Roll Call found the following trustees to be present: Andrea Wardrip, Keith Stanberry, April Daily, Chrissy Gorigi and Mike Young. Absent: Todd Hale. Acting President Brittany Bates and Clerk Alma Fair were also present.

Visitors and Public Comments: Donyell Morgan

New Business:

1. Discussion and Action on Resolution 2025-02 to Establish A Truck Route Within the Village of Lovington

A Motion was made by Young and seconded by Giorgi to accept Resolution 2025-02 To Establish a Truck Route within the Village of Lovington.

Discussion: None

YEA: Wardrip, Stanberry, Wardrip, Giorgi, Young, Daily

No: None

Absent: Hale

MOTION CARRIED

2. Discussion and Action on Ordinance 2025-05 to Amend Chapter 1-4-1 of the Code of Ordinances of the Village

Discussion: Clerk Fair read the email from our attorney on questions that came up at the April 14, 2025, meeting before the vote was taken.

A Motion was made by Stanberry moved and seconded by Young to approve Ordinance 2025- 05 Amending Chapter 1-4-1 of the Code of Ordinances of the Village of Lovington. Discussion: None

YEA: Stanberry, Wardrip, Giorgi, Young, Daily, Wardrip

No: None

Absent: Hale

MOTION CARRIED

A Motion was made by Young to adjourn at 6:29 p.m.
