!. Call to Order

Meeting called to order by Ann Short, Pres.

Meeting location: ETML Board Room

Meeting Date: 5/27/25

Time of Call to Order: 16:30

2. Roll Call

Officers in attendance: Ann Short, Pres.

Trustees in attendance: Ellen Feeler, Jennifer Love, Kathie Price, Karen Reed

City employees in attendance: Michelle Nolan, Library Director

Public Visitors: None

3. Review/Approve minutes of previous board meeting

4. Treasurer's Report

5. Librarian's Report

1. Summer reading program kick-off this Friday (5/30/25). Already have 40+ kids signed up after Laura made presentations at schools.

2. Library will also have a summer reading program for adults this year. Adults will have a Bingo card to complete and will get a goodie bag when it's done.

3. Atchison's here on 5/8/25 to replace lights. Building much brighter now!

4. IPLAR due 6/30/25

5. ETML is going to partner with Moultrie County Health Dept. to provide Dementia Programs. This summer the programs will be held at the Jonathan Creek Church, Then in the fall they will be held at the library.

6. Kanopy started 5/1/25. 16 patrons have already signed up.

7. Creative Bug contract expires in 2027. It's not used much so it will not be renewed. (Kanopy provides some similar programs for children)

8. Library of Things (LOT) has increased in usage lately, since a card display of items available is on the wall in the Adult Room.

9. The Pet Photo contest was very successful-25 'contestants' including a rat, a turkey, a goat, and a cow, as well as dogs and cats.

10. The Scavenger Hunt is ongoing, and there will be a goodie basket for the winner.

1. How to Handle too many trustee's terms expiring in the same year: Karen Reed, Jennifer Love, and Kathie Price will be reappointed for the 2026 term.

Amanda Mayberry has been proposed as the new board member (to replace Erin Wade).
