Farmer City Fire Protection District responded to 12 calls in 2016, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System obtained by the East Central Reporter.

The calls in Farmer City included nine fires - one structure fire, four vehicle fires and four other fires.

In all, the department saw $13,500 in fire loss - or about $1,500 per fire.

The department also received three false calls.
