Analysis: Decatur pays $2.22 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Long Creek Fpd Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 69 percent of the $32,115 the Long Creek Fpd Firefighters Pension Fund brought in last year, or $2.22 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Macon Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Decatur contributed $22,145 to the fund, which saw a $1,105 decrease in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $9,970, or 31 percent, in 2016.
