Farmer City FPD responds to six fires in 2017

Farmer City Fire Protection District responded to seven calls in 2017 - 41.7 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Farmer City included six fires - five structure fires and one other fire.

In all, the department saw $23,000 in fire loss - or about $3,833 per fire.

The department also received one false call.

The Farmer City Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $407,533 in 2017.
