Work to be performed on August 1st:

Residents may park in the Municipal Parking lot overnight to avoid driving on the newly coated roadways.

In the early AM hours (approximately 3AM – 4AM) prime coat (fresh oil) will be placed on the following roadways:

  • Evendale Road
  • Preston Parkway (between Evendale Road and Main Street)
  • Madison Way
  • Fairbluff Ave
  • Main Street
Residents should use caution and reduce speeds on the roadways placed with fresh oil.  The oil will have dried to the degree it should not transfer to vehicles within a couple of hours following its placement.

The paving of the roadway’s asphalt surface will occur on the following roadways:

  • Castleberry South
  • Auburn Court
  • Dawson Street
  • Preston Parkway (between Castleberry South and Evendale)
In addition:

The milling of the existing roadway’s surface and subsequent new hot mix asphalt surface paving is anticipated to be completed by August 3rd.   Please be aware work could be delayed due to inclement weather.  Re-landscaping of the parkways adjacent to the project’s concrete work will follow the completion of the roadway paving operations.
