Macon County voters approved one referendum but rejected another referendum.
Voters in Macon County approved the Mt. Pulaski CUSD 23 Proposition, a referendum calling for the demolishing and repair of a Mt. Pulaski High School Building, as well as improvements to the Mt. Pulaski Grade School Building and athletic fields through bond payment.
With 100 percent of the votes counted, Mt. Pulaski had 5 votes in favor and 1 against.
Taxpayers in Macon County voted against the Blue Mound Cemetery Tax Proposition calling for: "Shall the present maximum rate of 0.08% of the value, as equalized or assessed by the Department of Revenue, on the taxable property of Blue Mound Township for cemetery purposes be increased to a maximum rate of 0.20% on the value of such taxable property on a permanent basis?"
With 98 percent of the votes counted, Blue Mound Cemetery Proposition had 130 votes in favor and 279 against.
