Report: Maroa Forsyth spent $8,447 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Maroa Forsyth Community Unit School District 2 is down 10.3 percent from five years ago, according to a Macon Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Macon County school district spent $9,416 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $8,447 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1192 to 1179.

Maroa Forsyth's spending in 2017-18 was 36.7 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
