Clinton Community Unit School District 15 Board of Education met Aug. 19.

The Special meeting of the Board of Education of Clinton Community Unit School District No. 15 of the counties of DeWitt, Macon and Logan, State of Illinois, was held at 6:30pm, August 19, 2019 in the board room of the Clinton School District Unit Office, 1210 State Route 54 West, Clinton, Illinois.
Upon roll call the following members were present:
Mrs. Tammie Ennis
Mr. Chris Hammer
Mr. Dan Matthews
Mr. Rodney Rogers
Absent:
Mrs. Sondra Baker
Administrators present were:
Mr. Curt Nettles, Superintendent of Schools
ACCEPT RESIGNATION
It was moved by Dan Matthews, seconded by Rodney
Rogers, to accept the resignation of Cole Ritter. The President put the motion to a vote and the following roll call was taken:
Hammer, yea
Matthews, yea
Rogers, yea
Ennis, yea
Motion carried.
MEETING PURPOSE
Discuss the vacant seats on the CUSD 15 Board of Education due to the passing of Ron Conner and the resignation of Cole Ritter.
CLOSED SESSION
It was moved by Tammie Ennis, seconded by Chris Hammer, to enter into closed session for the purpose of discussing filling the vacant board seats. 5 ILCS 120/2
The President put the motion to a vote and the following
roll call was taken:
Matthews, yea
Rogers, yea
Ennis, yea
Hammer, yea
Motion carried.
The Board entered into closed session at 6:33pm and returned at 7:53pm.
CLOSE OF CLOSED SESSION
It was moved by Chris Hammer, seconded by Tammie Ennis, to close the closed session. The President put the motion to a vote and the following roll call was taken:
Rogers, yea
Ennis, yea
Hammer, yea
Matthews, yea
Motion carried.
APPOINT BOARD MEMBERS
It was moved by Dan Matthews, seconded by Chris Hammer, to appoint Steve Oswald as the new CUSD 15 board member to fill the seat vacated by Ron Conner. The President put the motion to a vote and the following roll call was taken:
Ennis, yea
Hammer, yea
Matthews, yea
Rogers, yea
Motion carried.
It was moved by Dan Matthews, seconded by Tammie Ennis, to appoint John Heinlen as the new CUSD 15 board member to fill the seat vacated by Cole Ritter. The President put the motion to a vote and the following roll call was taken:
Ennis, yea
Hammer, yea
Matthews, yea
Rogers, yea
Motion Carried
ADJOURNMENT
It was moved by Rodney Rogers, seconded by Chris Hammer, and duly voted by acclamation to adjourn at 7:55 pm.
