TANZYUS FUNERAL SERVICE AND CARE: Norman Martin West

Tanzyus Funeral Service And Care recently issued the following announcement.

Norman M. West, age 60 of Decatur died at 8:20 am. Friday, September 27, 2019 in the Sullivan Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.

A family-led memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm. on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at Heartland Community Church with Pastor Joe Bowman officiating. Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and Care is assisting with the arrangements.

Norman was born in April of 1959 in Decatur, the son of Dale and Roberta West. He graduated from Lakeview High School and attended Appliance Repair School. He was employed by Sears, Firestone, Mitsubishi, Millikin University and G&D. Norman enjoyed camping, canoeing, music, playing guitar. He shared his mother’s love of Jeopardy.

Surviving are his brothers, Robert (Diane) West, David (Leslie) West, and Michael (Tammy) West; nieces and nephews, Renee Dimmick, Stephanie West, Micah West, Carrie Schelling, Matt West, Angie Corrigan, Josh Hiser, Whitney, Brianna, Kayla, Emily, Laura, Caitlin, Jonathan, and Justin West; special cousins Pam & Dan, Paula & Bill, Patti & Bill; aunts, Dee Dee Hinton and family, Aileen Hinton and family, Jeanine West and family, Sue Lindsey and family; special friends Debbie Finke, Bob & Linda Ducey, Mike Winchester, Shari & Mo, Martha & Mary and Marta. Norman’s caring personality, amazing sense of humor and quick-wit will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Norman was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and nephew Scott.
