Q1 2019 Recap: Parolees near Illinois zip code 62521 convicted of crimes against persons

There were eight offenders convicted of crimes against persons released on parole near Illinois zip code 62521 during the first quarter, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the Macon Reporter.

The data shows that seven men and one woman were among the parolees. The median age of the parolees sentenced for crimes against persons was 38. The youngest parolee was a 22-year-old man sentenced in 2017, and the oldest was a 60-year-old man sentenced in 2015.

The offender who was incarcerated the longest was Maxwell P. Brown. He was convicted of a crime against a person in 2013 when he was 18 years old. He is now 25.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
