Barclay Public Library District Board of Trustees met Feb. 18.
Here is the minutes provided by the board:
President Ham called the meeting to ordered at 7:00 p.m. There were no remarks from the public.
ROLL CALL: Laura, Jenny, Jean, Maria, Kay and Michelle were present.
EXECUTIVE SESSION: Discussion of annexation issues with the City of Decatur
The board re-entered Regular Session at 7:47 p.m.
BILLS: Motion by Jenny, second by Maria to approve payment of the January bills. All aye
TREASURER’S REPORT: filed for audit
SECRETARY’S MINUTES: filed for audit
LIBRARIAN’S REPORT
Annexation issues continue to be an issue.
An architect will be here February 21 to talk with Michelle about the best use of space.
Keith Hackl will coordinate maintenance issues at the library.
Michelle is looking into library signage that can be moved if needed.
The application for the Per Capita Grant has been filed.
Pyrle’s Legacy has been reinvested at Buena Vista at a 1.91%.
The staff participated in Family Reading Night at W-L.
Kaitlin Benson has been hired as a clerk and adult programmer.
PRESIDENT’S REPORT: none
BUSINESS
The board reviewed the FY19-20 2nd Quarter Financial Report.
Motion by Kay, second by Maria to approve the Annual Financial Report to the Comptroller, as amended. Roll call vote: 6-0 in favor
Board members present each completed the Statement of Economic Interest.
PERSON OF THE MONTH: Pam Kraus, for always being a helpful patron.
