City Of Decatur DCDF issued the following announcement on May 27.
Community Update COVID-19 05-27-20
- The number of Covid-19 cases here in Macon County have leveled off, and there is adequate testing capacity here in Decatur.
- The City will be moving from Phase 2 to Phase 3 on Friday, May 29th.
- Last night the Mayor and City Council voted to repeal the Mayor’s Emergency Order effective June 30th.
- The City Council also discussed extensively the desire and need to be as flexible as possible for our businesses that want to bring their dining or retail operations outside as allowed for under Phase 3 of the reopening plan.
- The City Council has approved waiving permit fees for restaurants, bars, as well as retail businesses that are temporarily seeking to use public sidewalks, parking lots, other public properties for to conduct their business.
- The City did not enact any additional local requirements or restrictions, but encourages all our businesses follow the guidelines of Illinois Department of Public Health and IL DCEO found on ours or their websites.
