Analysis: Long Creek pays $2.19 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Long Creek FPD Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 68.7 percent of the $35,664 the Long Creek FPD Firefighters Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $2.19 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Macon Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Long Creek contributed $24,514 to the fund, which saw a $1,952 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $11,150, or 31.3 percent, in 2018.
