Lovington Fire Protection District responded to 11 calls in 2018 - 10 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Lovington included 10 fires - three structure fires, one vehicle fire and six other fires.

The department also received one false call.
