Warrensburg Fire Protection Department responded to 43 calls in 2018 - 7.5 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Warrensburg included 24 fires - 17 structure fires, two vehicle fires and five other fires. The fire department also responded to one call for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $73,000 in fire loss - or about $3,042 per fire.

The department also received 18 false calls.

The Warrensburg Fire Protection Department had an annual budget of $227,374 in 2018.
